It's an Easter Wonderland at Eastwood City
MANILA, Philippines - Kids rule at Eastwood City this Easter. With five uniquely-themed worlds set up around Eastwood City’s commercial development, kids can choose how to celebrate this special day for a fun- and adventure-filled Easter Sunday.
These five worlds are the Main Wonderland, the Animal Kingdom, the Empire of the Inflatables, the Game Zone, and the World of Circus and Magic. Each section will have various activities, booths, and play areas, designed and organized according to its theme. Kids will also get a chance to win items from Toytown, a Sony PS3, and a Nintendo Wii by joining the Eastwood City Easter Wonderland raffle.
“Instead of the usual Easter egg hunt, we came up with the Easter Wonderland to make kids experience new Easter activities,” said Megaworld Corporation commercial division head Kevin Tan. “As a child, we all had fantasies of a perfect day out, and this one we prepared at Eastwood City for Easter is something near its realization,” he added.
Little equestrians can ride ponies at the Animal Kingdom. Future beauty queens will enjoy the kids’ salon and glitter tattoo booths at the Main Wonderland. Street magicians, meanwhile, will line up the World of Circus and Magic’s area. Petting zoos, stilt walkers, balloon twisting, huge inflatables, and a lot more, will also be part of the Eastwood City Easter Wonderland. To give a unique twist to the Easter egg, master painter Fernando Sena will conduct free egg painting sessions.
Pocket performances will also be held at the different worlds. Theater actor Audie Gemora’s summer performing arts program My Talent will stage a showcase presentation at 5 pm at the Main Wonderland. There will also be magic, bubble, and acrobat shows, among others, at different times within the fair.
A parade starting from the Main Wonderland, located at the Eastwood Mall Open Park, will open the fair. All performers and participants, together with mascots and a drum and bugle corps will go around the activity areas leading to the opening of the Wonderland at 3 pm.
Wonderland passports can be obtained for only P350. Each passport entitles a kid a one-time access to booths and activities inside the fair and two adults to accompany the child. Additioanl adult companions will have to pay P50. Registration is currently ongoing for the Eastwood City Easter Wonderland at the Eastwood Mall concierge.
