Rissa teams up with Audie in My Talent
MANILA, Philippines - This summer, supermodel Rissa Mananquil teams up with theater stalwart Audie Gemora in My Talent, a workshop program at Eastwood City that invites kids, teens and adults to train in the fields of singing, dancing, acting and modeling.
Along with other performing artists and celebrities, Rissa will take to the stage, not to showcase the latest trends in local and international fashion, but to mentor and educate young would-be models. Rissa was president of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP) for six years, pushing for positive reforms in support of the local modeling industry.
After finishing short postgrad management courses at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Rissa now juggles modeling and writing for The Philippine STAR. Her main thrust is her passion. Rissa says, “You have to love what you do to stay long enough in this industry. I was once told, ‘Continue to love everything about modeling because it’s your heart that beats and not the music you hear every time you do a show.’” Her zeal pushes her to achieve more and, in turn, help others around her chase their own dreams.
Rissa’s modeling course provides lessons and training in the basic aspects of modeling. Sessions in building confidence, poise and projection will be offered under the strict guidance of expert professionals. The workshop will also provide an inside look into the do’s and dont’s of the industry, giving students a unique edge that will surely place them ahead of the pack as they begin to venture into their future modeling careers.
Rissa has always shown fervent passion in the uplifting of models and the industry for the next generation.
