Spend summer in Spain, Japan or UK
MANILA, Philippines - It’s summer once again and Institute for Foreign Study, Inc.(IFS) is inviting students from the ages of 10 to 24 to join its always fun, always enriching Summer Programs in Sevilla, Barcelona, Japan and the United Kingdom.
The IFS Group Programs are cultural immersion experiences that give participants the unique opportunity to live in the host country as a member of a selected host family. Participants discover the different facets of each host culture; build lasting friendships with fellow participants, the host family and new friends from other countries while acquiring valuable cross-cultural skills. An organized course of study is also included with social and cultural activities as well as trips/excursions to selected places of interest, creating one memorable summer!
The Junior UK program for ages 10 to 14 covers London, Salisbury, Edinburgh and York. Hurry: there are only a few slots left.
The other location in the United Kingdom is the “city of dreaming spires,” Oxford. The Four-Week program accepts high school and college students. There will be two separate academic programs for the two categories. Departure for UK-bound students is scheduled for the first week of May.
IFS has two program locations in Spain that students from ages 15 to 24 can choose from: Sevilla or Barcelona. A unique cultural immersion experience, students will learn intensive Spanish, explore Sevilla/Barcelona, interact with students of different nationalities and, to complete the experience, live with selected host families. There will be two students per family. Departure is scheduled for late April.
Nearer to home, students 15 years old and older may wish to check out the Four-Week Program in Fukuoka, Japan (option to do three weeks only). Departure is scheduled towards the third week of April.

Not available in April or May? Attending an international school?
IFS is now accepting applications to the International Spanish Summer Camps in Madrid, Salamanca, Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia and Marbella. Applicants must be at least 14 years old. Two and four week programs in July and August are available. Those older than 18 are asked to consider a home-stay experience for a minimum of two weeks in any of the abovementioned locations.
