It's ballet, books and art for debutante Mia Ocampo

-

MANILA, Philippines - Miarosa Mendoza Ocampo, daughter of Atty. Manolet Ocampo and Susan Mendoza Ocampo, celebrated her 18th birthday in an elegant Winter Wonderland affair at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel’s Rizal Ballroom on Dec. 26, 2008.

A special ballet performance by the awardwinning Shirley Halili Ballet Company marked the grand entrance of Mia to the delight of her family and friends, including her proud grandparents Atty. Estelito Mendoza and Rosa Mendoza.

Mia was stunning in a princess-cut creation in duchess satin with an applique motif made of silver metallic lame by designer Cary Santiago.

A senior at Brent International School, Mia was serenaded and toasted throughout the evening.   A short audio visual presentation showed highlights of Mia growing up into the fine, young lady with insights and special greetings from friends and family members abroad.

A conscientious, sensitive, caring, and sports-loving girl, Mia has always shown her concern for the less privileged by spending time to teach them art (drawing and painting) and donating old books and educational toys for toy libraries in several public schools in Pampanga.
