Simbang Gabi at the CCP
The Cultural Center of the Philippines invites everyone to participate in the cherished Filipino tradition of the Misa de Gallo on Dec. 16 to 24 at 5 a.m.at the CCP main building ramp.
Held in coordination with the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Simbang Gabi @ d’ CCP will be sponsored by the following hermanas: Senate Spouses Foundation (Dec.16), Philippine Navy (Dec.17), Product Development and Design Center (Dec.18), Philippine International Convention Center (Dec.19), Harbour Square (Dec.20), Manila Broadcasting Company and Star Parks Corp. (Dec. 21), Sofitel Philippine Plaza and Gloriamaris Restaurant (Dec. 22), Coconut Palace (Dec.23), and Amazing Philippine Theater (Dec. 24).
The CCP, together with the CCP Employees Organization and the Halili School of Ballet, will sponsor the Misa de Aguinaldo on Dec. 24, 9 p.m., at the CCP Main Ramp.
Food booths and concessionaries will be set up around the area to heighten the festive mood of the Simbang Gabi @ d’ CCP.
And as part of the CCP’s outreach program, children and youth from 22 Gawad Kalinga (GK) communities around Metro Manila will showcase their artistic skills on Dec. 17 and 18 at the CCP’s Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino. The show is the culminating activity of the three-month long theater workshop the GK youth or SIGA undertook under the auspices of the CCP through its Outreach and Exchange Division.
CCP Outreach and Exchange cirector Chinggay Jasareno-Bernardo said that the GK Siga members did not only enjoy the learning sessions but acquired good values from the workshop.
