Scent of a timeless gift
The grand launch of Estee Lauder’s limited-edition Solid Perfumes collection was nothing but spectacular. The Gallerie area at the second floor of Rustan’s Makati was transformed into a glamorous set-up that reflected the renowned brand’s holiday theme. Fifty enchanting pieces brimming with elaborate details were flown in to the country for the occasion. Well-lit glass cases exhibited these wonders that stood as a replica of the sweet treats of Christmas, the wonders of nature, and the icons of the world, boasting rich colors and dynamic moving parts.
The 50 pieces on display, three of which will be available in the country, are inspired by holiday designs. Among the interesting pieces are the Pleasures Candy Cane, a candy cane-shaped compact with gleaming red and golden stripes; the Beautiful Lollipop Twist, a floral scent encased in a lollipop-shaped, rich-toned enamel compact; and the Pure White Linen Holiday Star that bursts with the scents of red tulips, rose bloom, snow-white flowers and sparkling raspberry within the star-shaped crystal.
Formally introducing the evening’s purpose was Rustan’s creative director Inno Sotto joined by Estee Lauder’s marketing manager Crystabelle Lee.
“Every year, loyal customers look forward to the unveiling of beautiful holiday gift ideas that make the season extra special for women all over the world,” Lee relates.
The tradition lives on as the guests were impressed with the unique collection. Along with the Solid Perfumes exhibit was the presentation of Estee Lauder’s three most famous scents — Beautiful, Pure White Linen and Pleasures.
Beautiful has a scent likened to a bouquet of two thousand fresh flowers, the timeless Pure White Linen has a cool, clean, and crisp scent, while Pleasures is reminiscent of flower scents after the rain.
The evening was also an ode to a cause supported by Estee Lauder – the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation. With their partner Bosom Buddies, the event became an opportunity for some to offer their pledges for a worthy cause including Stores Specialists Inc. and Rustan Commercial Corporation president Zenaida Tantoco.
The red carpet was rolled out for the famed brand’s guests including Paolo and Dina Tantoco, Cricket and Donnie Tantoco, Criselda Lontok, DJ Lopez, Ping Valencia, and Estee Lauder’s beauty icons for the night, Kaye Tinga, Priscilla Mereilles and Isabelle Roces. Estee Lauder’s loyal clientele enjoyed the inviting space with an interlaced red carpet that was reminiscent of a gift box together with Fro Olive wine and champagne by Rene Barbier.
Estee Lauder is available at all Rustan’s Department Stores.
