What question would you ask God?

WORDS WORTH - Mons Romulo -

It’s the ultimate “what if” question. What if you could be face to face with God and you’re given the chance to ask a question? Would it be the meaning of life, the why’s and how’s behind the creation, or would you ask him something very personal? We can only dream of such an opportunity, and until then we must prepare ourselves for the time when we are one with the creator.

TIPPI OCAMPO, fashion designer: God being the ultimate designer, I would ask Him how to design a life that’s seamlessly put together, one in which balance, grace and proportion mix happily with a little craziness and riotous colors.

EPY QUIZON, actor: My question for God is, what have I done to deserve such beautiful children? Because I don’t think I have been that good to be this blessed.

ALFRED VARGAS, actor/TV host: I don’t want to go into the deep philosophical or theological questions we usually wonder about. I would probably ask God what His favorite pop or alternative song is. Does He also like my favorite bands and what does He think of them? The point is, I just want to get to know Him more personally. He exists inside of me and I can feel it every day. It would be amazing to have a normal conversation with Him just like I would with a best friend.

RICA PERALEJO, actress: Abba, Father, since there are no life questions unanswerable by the Bible, just tell me, please, why a cockroach?

PAOLO ABAD, businessman: We can find the answers to many questions regarding the Bible, such as, why do the innocent suffer, what is our purpose in life, how can we all be saved?  But the one question I would like to ask Him that is not found in the Bible is, when is the second coming of Christ?  I would like to make sure that my family and friends are prepared for this day and that all will be saved. There is no better way to spend eternity but with God and the people you love.

CAMILLE A. VILLAR, corporate communications head, Crown Asia: If I were lucky enough to have an audience with God, I would probably ask Him what more can I do to be a better person or to live a more meaningful life. And I would ask Him how my loved ones are doing in heaven.

KAREN DAVILA, radio and TV personality: We are often taught not to question God’s dealings in our lives and just to trust Him completely, but I would ask Him if He could give me a heart that only wants to please and obey Him.  I know that our heart is the wellspring of our very being but often if left unguarded and its motives unchecked, it is also the cause of most of our pain.

MATTEO GUIDICELLI, actor/model: Am I a good boy? What else can I do to please you and become a better Christian?

DEREK RAMSAY, actor/model: If you say we are all created equal, then why are there people born retarded?

MICO HALILI, TV sportscaster and general manager of Blue Monster Media: What was the inspiration behind the creation of the universe? Every masterpiece is an offspring of either one big idea or various stimulants. To learn what inspired God to first imagine and then create the universe is an opportunity to understand divine genius.

JOEY SUNICO, entrepreneur: I would ask how I’m doing as a child of God.  I think it’s important for us to reevaluate ourselves and see if we are following God’s ways.
