What is your Christmas wish?
December 10, 2006 | 12:00am
As Christmas day approaches, as we go through the week busy preparing and celebrating the birth of our Lord, this yuletide season gives us so much hope to dream and wish for good things for ourselves and others. Id also want to share with you my simple wish for us to reflect on our lives, what we have done for others and who we should thank in return for all the blessings we have been receiving. There is no one person in this world who lives a perfect life. Lets always try to look at the positive side of situations, forget about the hurts and pains we have in our hearts. There are only a few weeks left before Christmas but its never too late to reach out , apologize to those whom we have hurt, forgive those who have hurt us and show others how grateful we are for the kindness they have shown, after all this is the real true meaning of why we celebrate Christmas.
GINA LOPEZ, excutive director, Bantay Bata: My Christmas wish is clean air And that the La Mesa be declared a protected area!! That those in power realize how critically vital the environment is to the quality of our life on all levels: physical, mental and spiritual. Oh how I wish we could conserve the natural resources of this amazing country.
KIM ATIENZA, TV personality: Peace on earth, fewer typhoons this coming year, health for Feli and my kids, wisdom for me. Fresh paint for the Land Rover and a new watch would be great extras!
CESAR GAUPO, fashion designer: That I may walk and continue to persevere with the free gift of God which is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
ALI SOTTO, TV personality: Since the death of my beloved son Miko three Christmases ago, the celebration of the merriest season of all has been most difficult. Its going to take a miracle, I know but I pray that a Christmas will come soon when I can once again put un our tree and sing the carols with pure joy in my heart for the birth of my Savior. And I wish this for all mothers who have lost a child.
CHARLENE GONZALES MUHLACH, TV personality: My Christmas wish is to see unity among people. And to have a better quality of life for all. To lessen poverty and to continuously strengthen our culture, so we can have a unique identity worldwide.
CAROL CABANGON CHUA, interior designer: My wish would be good health and good fortune for everyone in my family and ample time to spend them both.
ROSHAN SAMTANI, baking hobbyist: My Christmas wish is that all children have food to eat, a safe place to sleep and someone to nurture, teach and play with them. I also hope that we have seen the last of the destructive typhoons that have ravaged our country and that we can now rebuild and move forward.
FARAH TOLENTINO YLAGAN, chef, Le Canard DOr Foie Gras, food enthusiast: I wish that we could all see the world as children do...experience everything with a sense of wonder and excitement, be content with what we have, and happy with whatever we are given. I wish that my family and friends be always blessed with good health and peace of mind.
GILBERT PANGILINAN, chef, Kai Restaurant: Good health for my family and friends.
