If you could be someone else, who would you be?

I am happy to be me. But there are days when I think it would be fun to trade shoes with someone else. Sometimes when I see that there is so much that needs to be done to help other people I cant help but wish I could do something for every one who needs help. That would be great.
ABBYGALE ARENAS-DE LEON, Lancome chief makeup artist: Id like to switch places with my husband, Jun de Leon. Id like to know and experience how it feels to be in total control whenever he works. This just amazes me. I also would like to know how it feels to have a beauty queen for a wife.
MARI KAIMO, news anchor: Bill Gates, because Id be able to invest most of his billions in the provinces of one of the most blessed and beautiful countries in the world, the Philippines, and bring development and jobs to where there are very little.
TINA JACINTO, socialite: I have always admired fashion icon Carolina Herrera because she typifies elegance and glamour. I am currently preparing my own line of couture, which will be launched early next year, with my two daughters Jacqueline and Liezl. I draw inspiration from Carolina, who has a family-oriented couture partnership with her two daughters.
MICHELLE DUMLAO, interior designer: I wouldnt want to change places with anyone because I am the happiest and luckiest girl in the world! But then again, maybe Francisco Mañosa, for being able to explore the limitless design possibilities of indigenous materials in his architecture and interior design. He continues to reinterpret our bahay na bato and bahay kubo in so many modern ways. Truly inspiring for a Filipino interior designer like me.
MARGOT OSMENA, civic-minded lady: Given a choice, I would not change places with anyone. Although if I had to, I would want to be the guardian angel of both my husband, Tommy and our son, Miguel. This way, I would be able to protect them always.
MAJA SALVADOR, actress: How I wish I were in the shoes of Kris Aquino. Dami-dami niyang shoes, ako konti lang. Kidding aside, gusto ko ang pagiging Mom niya kay Josh. She loves him so much and has time for him always.
DITA SANDICO ONG, fashion designer, 2004 Towns awardee:
Id choose to switch with Eve. Id like to rewrite the her-story of woman-kind, ha-ha-ha! The nerve of the guy who said it was Eves foibles that caused the fall of man! Hey, guy, it was the serpent who done her in! And the serpent happens to be the fallen angel, Lucifer ex-citizen of heaven, who was absent when the values of humility, obedience and loyalty were taught in the classroom of heavenly life! If my memory serves me right, Lucifer was a he! Now Adams a different story altogether. Didnt he make the choice? Why make Eve the fall guy, er, girl? Havent we all heard of response-ability? Well, we seal our fate with the choices we make! We would have charmed, cajoled, chosen to negotiate with God to pretty-please give us a second chance. After all, the smart being He is, God wouldve made the lesson of forgiveness more effective in a practical way. We teach by example, nest ce pas? Shhh... please dont let the Pope hear of this... ha, ha, ha!
RAYMUND Y. KATIGBAK, property specialist: I would change places with John F. Kennedy. I believe in the man, his leadership, charisma and vision, his ability to make decisions under extreme pressure and his contribution to making this world a peaceful place to live in.
RAMON SANTIAGO, vice president, corporate affairs, San Miguel Corporation: I wouldnt have the courage to meet the same fate as he did, but if he were alive today, I would want to change places with Sen. Benigno S. Aquino Jr. He was my idol when I was a young boy. I would have wanted to believe in a cause as passionately as he did. I was born and raised in his home province of Tarlac, and having been a journalist like him, I had the opportunity to see Ninoy Aquino at his most articulate. I used to follow his political career and I would show up at the town plaza whenever he was scheduled to speak. I actually met him on a few occasions, and I always came away awed by the way he spoke and thought. He had enormous charisma! He was brilliant, articulate and most importantly, committed. He could easily win people over to his way of thinking, turning skeptics into believers. During his lifetime, he was such a dynamic and influential leader. More than 20 years after his death, he still affects the lives of millions of Filipinos. His heroism lives on.
