The passing away of an aunt, Pacita "Ting" de los Reyes-Phillips, once Queen of the Manila Carnival 1929, marked a loss for her nieces Atty. Vicky de los Reyes, Minguita Padilla-Lopez, Cherry Pie Ongsiako-Lazatin, Dr. Carmela Ongsiako, Marivic and Nining Cojuangco, Atty. Carmela de los Reyes-Abas, and for beauty queens, like Tita Ting, Ivonne and Simonette de los Reyes and Bessie Ocampo.
