The first step to forever

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -
"To learn and never be filled is wisdom; to teach and never be weary is love." – Jo Petty

A study of couples once concluded that one’s degree of attractiveness is proportionate to the attractiveness of one’s partner. In short, if you’re downright gorgeous, then there is a high probability that your partner – whether you’ve found the poor soul yet or not – is as gorgeous as you are. And if you’re an ogre like Shrek… well, you get a female ogre with the engaging voice of Cameron Diaz.

We attended the wedding of Antonio "Tony Boy" Bondoc and Charmaine Matschuck. The couple’s parents are Antonio Delfin and Carolina Bondoc and Dr. Gunter and Joanne Matschuck, respectively.

Tony Boy and Charmaine ventured on their first step to eternal commitment in sacred rites held at the St. Jerome Emiliani and St. Susana Parish in Muntinlupa City. Rev. Fr. Larry Tan officiated the Mass. The Manila Music Ensemble played beautiful solemn music.

The esteemed principal sponsors were Isabel Bondoc; Lea Meriquet; Marissa Fenton; Gina Jane Grey; Maridel Villavicencio; Yolanda Ayson; Therese Santos; Mely Ablaza; Nini Licaros; Secretary Jose Roilo Golez; Noel Laman; Eduardo Arroyo; Fernando Ampil; Domingo Guevarra; Rosendo Bondoc; Enrique Zabarte; Vince Carlos; and yours truly.

Roxanne Camille Hoey served as maid of honor, while Tony Boy’s brother Roberto was the best man. Slim and resplendent in sleeveless turquoise gowns were bridesmaids Margarita Camacho; Patch Bondoc; Elaine Dy; and Mary Ann Ilono. Not to be outdone by the beauties were the dashing groomsmen Robert Adriano; Christian Canlas; Caldwell Hoey; and Bernard Rocha. Mae Aquino and Ryan Cruz acted as secondary sponsors for the candles; Claudette Grey and Michael Angelo Filo for the veil; and Joy Escobar and Wayland Hutchinson for the cord.

The evening reception followed at the Matschuck residence in Ayala Alabang. The venue was laid with numerous tables, china and a three-tiered cake decorated with fresh pink roses as sweet centerpiece. The area was transformed for this lovely occasion and made all the more romantic with the help of countless candles. On this night, amid the flowing wine and bountiful food with which to celebrate the beginning of a marriage, the spirit and fortitude of love was very infectious to all the guests.

To Tony Boy and Charmaine, may the loving spirit that pervaded your wedding be with you as you face the years to come and have children as beautiful as you are (inside and out)!
