Three ladies, three milestones

Love is eternal, so pack accordingly. Gene Perret
Three remarkable ladies marked milestones recently, starting with Josie Padilla Rufino who shared a delightful birthday dinner with her immediate family.
Joining Josie were her husband Ernest and children Joysie, Lui, Ma. Ysabel, Ernie and Victor, sister-in-law Tere accompanied by your columnist, and Connie, who came with husband Oscar Lopez, chairman of the Lopez Group of Companies.
The evening was highlighted by an absolutely sumptuous 17-course lauriat. Wishes were warmly showered on the affable celebrator, who graciously thanked the close-knit clan.
I join the chorus of well-wishers for such a wonderful woman and sister-in-law. Happy birthday once again, Josie!
Another celebrator was Maria Clara "Kim" Acuña Camacho, the lovely wife of Finance Secretary Jose Isidro Camacho. She snagged an impressive distinction when she was chosen as the representative in the Philippines of the prestigious auction house, Sothebys. Sothebys managing director Henry Howard-Sneyd announced Kims appointment, citing her "extraordinary background and intimate knowledge of Philippine society."
Butch Bonsol, general manager and marketing director of Whats On & Expat, also marked a milestone. Butch, who is turning out to be a tremendously impressive golfer (boy, this gorgeous woman can sure swing a club!) has been instrumental in the success of the weekly Whats On & Expat, which marked 20 fabulous years.
Butchs staff and Whats On Las Vegas Murray Hertz joined in the celebration which drew throngs of well-wishers from the diplomatic corps. Among them were US Consul General John Patrick Caulfield, CCA Philippines president and Tower Club founding governor Arthur Lopez, accomplished hoteliers, various media personalities and other distinguished guests.
To Expat, here are 20 cheers for an admirable record! Cheers to you and to Butch whose leadership skills prove that women have what it takes to be on top! Bravo!
Happy birthday to our celebrator today, Don Marquitos Roces.
Advanced birthday greetings to top business executive Cesar Buenaventura, Dec. 18; Corazon del Rosario, Dec. 19; charming Meralcos first lady Maritess Lopez and Jaguars "Big Cat" Wellington Soong, Dec. 20; Fritz Azanza, Dec. 21; socialite Dely Ongsiako, the lovely Marion Salonga, columnist and everyones palangga Maurice Arcache and Jose "Tiling" Yulo, Dec. 22.
So, how was your week?
