"Every November 11, Chinese e-commerce companies have their big sale events. We wanted to adapt it as the start of our own rendition here in the Philippines," he adds.
According to Balci, they have talked with their partner brands and merchants for the past few months to come up with the marked down prices for the event.

"We asked for them to give us the lowest possible deals and they gave it. So we we will have up to 95 percent discount on our market prices, not even on SRP. We have P11 deals, P99 peso deals and hourly flash sales on our website," he explains.

Starting November 11, the 11 peso deals will be announced at 11:11 a.m. everyday via their social media channels.
For November 11, Lazada will have 200,000 special deals to be found on their site, the highest numbers of deals ever accounted for. They are also expecting to increase orders with 500 orders per minute at peak, resulting in merchant record sales with 3 million sales overall per minute at peak.
The company expects staggering two million visitors on the app website and mobile site on November 11; that is equivalent to the population of Davao City and Bacolod City.
The sale continues until December 12.
