A chic and modern sm Store opens in Cabanatuan
MANILA, Philippines - Great shopping goes to Nueva Ecija as a chic and modern SM Store opens in SM City Cabanatuan today, Oct. 9.
The three-level, 11, 000-sqm. store combines great design with great retail and interiors in crisp black lines against a neutral palette punctuated with color-blocked focal points.
Black lines in the merchandising fixtures and wall panel border the predominant design element of the store. They are translated into a beautiful linear composition that decorates the atrium ceiling.
The ground floor features a striped store concept — a white and gray floor combined with a white ceiling with lighted Barrisol strips that flood the store with even light. This gives drama to the Beauty and Branded Accessories Departments and enhances shopping at the Gadgets, Stationery, Kultura, Men’s Wear, Men’s Accessories, and Boys Teens Departments. It is also on the ground floor where one can find the customer service and currency exchange areas.
The design at the second floor aims to create a sophisticated atmosphere for the fashion departments — Women’s and Girl’s Teens Wear, Women’s Accessories, and the Shoes, Bags, and Luggage Departments.
The white-and-gray flooring sets a clean, polished base for the black metal frame display fixtures. A heavy black border around each wall display defines the panels at the perimeter walls.
A mirrored ceiling — a new design element for an SM Store — was added in the Ladies Shoes category to further enhance its sophisticated character. Color was also used sparingly, limited to blocks of vivid color for the visibility of the cash counters.
The store’s third level highlights gracious living for this highly urbanized city with its Home and Hardware Departments. It is also a place for kids with its Kid’s Wear, Infant’s Wear, Kid’s Accessories, Character Shop, Toys, and Baby Departments.
To add more fun to shopping is SM Store Cabanatuan’s opening promotion. Every P2,000 minimum single-receipt purchase in the new store from Oct. 9 to 21 entitles one to a raffle coupon and a chance to win P10,000 in shopping money. A total of 23 lucky winners will be drawn, making shopping more fun at SM Store Cabanatuan.
