VJs define cool with SM Accessories

-

MANILA, Philippines - We all know VJs to be cool, but 11 MYX VJ finalists achieved a new level of cool when they recently joined SM Accessories Challenge.

They were grouped into pairs, except for Drew, and each pair was assigned a look by SM Accessories. Camille and Chewy were classified as geeks, Drew went hip-hop, Angelia and Mike got sporty, Cara and JJ rocked, Joyce and Martin channeled the boho look, and K-La and Earl went classic with the preppie look. Here, they show us the many style possibilities from SM Accessories.

Camille Caoile, who has appeared in commercials, TV dramas, web shows, and even an indie film; and Chewy Buhion, a music production student and radio jock had a great time going over glasses, watches, hats, belts, and suspenders to achieve the geek look. “As geeks, we don’t have to accessorize so much because our main accessory is our intelligence,” says Camille. “But we got that extra boom and boost from SM Accessories.”

Hip-Hop and sporty: Drew Rivera, Angelia Ong and Mike Advincula

Drew Rivera, a Filipino-American English teacher and basketball player was in his element when he was assigned the hip-hop look. “Within five minutes, I was able to put together with cool watches, sunglasses, belts, hats from SM Accessories,” he says, amazed at his discoveries in the store.

Angelia Ong, who was voted as this year’s Face of Bb. Pilipinas and hosts a travel show in her home province of Iloilo, and Mike Advincula, a 6’1” hottie who is the captain of the De La Salle University swim team, said it was quite a challenge to achieve the sporty look because “being sporty you don’t have to accessorize so much. “Nevertheless they both discovered that “SM truly has it all with improvised headbands, belts that remind me of the Olympics, and headphones that sporty people use when jogging or exercising.

Cara Eriguel, who has appeared in a number of music videos, and JJ Kaufmann, a college sophomore from Ateneo, both say that they do not really consider themselves rockers, but they nevertheless achieved the look because “everything is so organized and easy to find at SM Accessories.”

Joyce Pring, a UP Fine Arts student, and Martin Javier, who is in a Broadcast Communications course, found a treasure trove of boho stuff at SM Accessories. Joyce even found a wig and lots of bangles to get her into the Boho groove.

K-La Rivera, the Filipino-Canadian RnB sweetheart and Earl Burgos, who loves the theater and K-Pop gave a new twist to the classic preppie look with their finds from SM Accessories.

Joyce and Drew with their boho and hip hop looks, respectively, emerged the winners of the SM Accessories Challenge, and each won P5,000 worth of gift certificates from SM Accessories.
