Lowe's opens store in Vallejo

-

Vallejo, California – Lowe’s announced it has recently opened a brand new store in Vallejo, Calif., which is home to a sizable number of Filipinos. Vallejo is within an easy commuting distance of San Francisco, Oakland-Berkeley as well as Walnut Creek/Concord and the Tri-Valley area.

The store's Vallejo branched opened its doors to the public on Friday, November 12. Grand Opening Festivities, including Lowe’s Board Cutting ceremony and Gift Card Match Day, were held on Thursday, November 18. The Gift Card Match Day allowed customers to purchase a Lowe’s Gift Card with Lowe’s matching the purchases of gift cards up to $5,000 to support Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity’s next building project.

Lowe’s of Vallejo has 103,000 square feet of retail sales space, with an adjacent garden center, stocking 32,000 different items to help customers build, improve and beautify their homes. A store of this size represents an average investment in the community of about $12 million and creates up to 120 new jobs.

Lowe’s strongly supports communities where it does business. In 2009, Lowe’s and the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation contributed more than $30 million to support education and community projects across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Lowe’s also makes specific nationwide efforts to reach out to the Asian American community by interacting with them at relevant Asian-themed events, addressing their home improvement needs and offering relevant merchandising, such as the first-ever Asian Gift Card.
