Pet Express holds ‘Dog and Cat Expo’
MANILA, Philippines - Dog and cat lovers of all ages recently gathered — and enjoyed shopping — together with their furry and feline friends for the “Pet Express Dog and Cat Expo” at the SMX Convention Center.
Many dog and cat enthusiasts not only enjoyed great discounts and shopping for their pets, but also lots of fun and games. This included the Pet Express JeoPawrdy Charity Game, a quiz bee for dogs led by the Alaskan Malamute Club, Philippine Akita Club, Dog Owners group of the Philippines, Philippine Golden Retrievers Club, and Dog Owners of Cavite City. The winning dog club donated their prize from Alpo Philippines to their organization of their choice.
There were also photo booth activities with Great Image Pawtography, pet health seminar activities, pet grooming, a dog food- eating contest and dog training activities during the event.
Pet Express also gave a free Pawsome Party Package to one of their online winners during the expo. Valerie Lee and his dog Charlie enjoyed some treats and had fun with their furry friend and pet parents from All4Pets.
The Dog Behavior Training Session by Pinoy Dog Whisperer Lestre Zapanta was one of the Expo’s highlights. Zapanta, who has been a master in analyzing canine and feline behaviors for the past 15 years, gave tips on how pet owners can build a harmonious relationship with their pets. He stressed that the owner must understand what is going through on the mind of the dog, and talked about the importance of communication through canine body language and behavioral changes.
The Dog and Cat Expo 2014 is a project by Pet Express with the participation of Philippine Animal Rescue Team (P.A.R.T), and the Philippine Animal Welfare Society.
