Let the dogs out

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) invites all Aspin owners to have their pets pampered in ”Doggie Day Off,” the second event of the PAWS Aspin Club, today at Eastwood Central Plaza from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This unique fund-raising event will offer free grooming services, dog baths, dog massages, vet consultation, a pet photo area and doggie treats from Pet Express to all current members of the PAWS Aspin Club, as well as those who will register their native and mixed-breed dogs that day during the event.

There will also be a fun cooking demo by baker Angela Colet who will demonstrate how to make home-made dog treats plus a talk on dog behavior and canine good citizenship by PAWS director Elsie Araneta, which will start at 1 p.m.

The club is open to all native and mixed-breed dogs that must be friendly to both humans and other dogs. Dogs must be leashed at all times and owners must show their updated vaccination records upon registration.

The P250 annual membership fee will go to the PAWS Animal Shelter, which takes care of Aspins rescued from cruelty and neglect. Registration for new members starts at 11 a.m. and will be open until the end of the event.

Doggie Day Off is made possible through the support of Pet Express, McDonald’s, Heartgard Plus, Mypetchannel.tv, The Philippine Star Pet Life Section and Eastwood City, the first pet-friendly mall in the Philippines.
