A better, bolder, more secure PayMaya card
Enjoy a more convenient, secure, and rewarding payment experience with the all-new PayMaya card.
(As released) Whether traveling in a foreign country or shopping in the mall, PayMaya account holders can now enjoy more convenient and secure card payment transactions with a newly designed EMV-powered payment card.
Available now at the PayMaya Online Store (store.paymaya.com) for only P200, the new PayMaya card features a minimalist black design that showcases only pertinent logos pertaining to its features.
All personal information of the cardholder–including the card number, the expiry date of the card, the CVV card security code as well as the cardholder’s name–is printed at the back of the card. These make the new PayMaya card more secure than most cards out in the market.
PayMaya is one of the first in the world to utilize this design feature, which is in response to the social media habits of its largely millennial user base.
“We know our users love their cards which is why they are always excited to post about it on their social media accounts, but that also means exposing sensitive personal information to the public,” Kenneth Palacios, head of Wallets Business at PayMaya Philippines, said.
He explained that customers can share and brandish the new card without risking their safety and security.
The ultimate payment card for travelers
From dining to shopping, PayMaya account holders are increasingly using their PayMaya physical card when they pay for expenses abroad. Without the need to call in advance for card activation, they can easily use their PayMaya card in establishments where Visa or Mastercard is accepted while benefiting from better foreign exchange rates.
They also enjoy the convenience and satisfaction of receiving real-time SMS notifications for every transaction without worrying about hidden charges. They can similarly block their card easily if it gets lost or stolen.
“Many travelers prefer to use PayMaya when they travel as it allows them to maximize their budget so they can spend more on new experiences. Whether they use the PayMaya physical card to withdraw at ATMs or at VISA or Mastercard accepting establishments, they always get the best value when they use PayMaya,” Palacios added.
Convenient payments anytime, anywhere
Already one of the most in-demand payment options particularly for the young market, PayMaya has also enhanced the convenience and security of its card by incorporating the EMV standard as well as the contactless payment feature of Visa and Mastercard.
Cardholders can also maximize the card’s features by linking their physical card to the PayMaya app. By doing so, they can enjoy one wallet for online or in-store purchases and efficiently manage their expenses.
Withdrawing for extra cash using the PayMaya card can be done anytime, anywhere on any BancNet ATM nationwide and any Visa Plus machines abroad.
Aside from the security features, PayMaya cardholders can get a P300 cashback when they pay using their PayMaya card in-store or online with a minimum spend of P3,000 from July 21-31, 2019. This is on top of the other perks and discounts they can enjoy when they pay for bills, buy load or shop online and in-store with their PayMaya account. — As released
