MANILA, Philippines — From the moment we are born, no one loves us more than our moms.

Mothers are without a doubt, the most important person in our lives – they are the heart and the ultimate foundation of the family. From loving us unconditionally, to being our biggest supporter throughout our whole life.

The global entertainment company behind the global YouTube hit "Baby Shark" animated song will be coming over to Century City Mall to take kids and adults alike on a voyage of cheerful songs along with Pinkfong and Baby Shark mascots.

Open-cinema for all

Circuit Makati promote Filipino entertainment by mounting an outdoor cinema. Paying tribute to Filipino talent, Cine Circuit will showcase a selection of independent Filipino films to celebrate a yearly tradition of bringing the outdoor cinema experience to the movie-going public. In partnership with Viva Networks and PBO, Cine Circuit will feature eight independent films that capture the genius and breadth of talent of Filipino artists.

On May 13, Cine Circuit opens with “Kusina,” a 2016 film which tells the life story of Juanita, who creates dishes for her family, her friends, even enemies and strangers, in the process revealing herself to them.

Next up is “This Time,” a 2016 romantic drama starring real life couple, James Reid and Nadine Lustre, who play childhood friends who struggle with a long-distance relationship. The film was loosely based on the Wattpad novel That One Summer by Aly Almario. 

Last but not the least is “Camp Sawi,” a 2016 Filipino comedy-drama film starring Andi Eigenmann, Bela Padilla, Yassi Pressman, Kim Molina, Sam Milby and Arci Muñoz, who play broken hearted women struggling to deal with their pain.

 

Staycation treat

Leading Thai hospitality firm The Erawan Group PLC has successfully opened its third Hop Inn property in the country. Located at the dynamic and growing Aseana City in Parañaque City, the new location is a welcome addition since there are practically no budget hotels in the area. It is also the perfect follow up to Hop Inn’s presence in the country since welcoming guests to the very first Hop Inn Hotel back in December 2016.

The budget hotel is located 10 minutes away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and right in the center of Metro Manila’s fast- rising entertainment and commercial capital, Aseana City, one of the landmark developments to rise in the envisioned grandest gaming and entertainment complex in Asia that is Entertainment City Manila.

For the budget conscious, watch a movie with your mom at the comfort of your home.

“Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes,” featuring the hit comedy pairing of Judy Ann Santos and Angelica Panganiban, brings the laughs to homes as it airs on KBO this weekend.

Santos and Panganiban, renowned dramatic actresses, take on this comedy as jilted wives whose husbands turn out to be gay and are having an affair with each other. The two women then team up to exact revenge but end up in comical situations.

It will air from May 13 to 14 for an extended KBO weekend, along with “Die Beautiful,” “A Second Chance,” “All You Need Is Pag-ibig,” and “Wang Fam.”

 

New jobs for moms

For working moms in Pampanga, there is good news for you as VXI Global Solutions launched their new site at Clark.

Vice President Leni Robredo led the launch as she commends the company’s value proposition passion for people.  “I'm glad that VXI has not just provided jobs for many of our countrymen but has been a very good employer to most of them,” Robredo said.

Robredo also praised the company for reaching out to provide help for the children of Marawi. ‘Rebuilding Marawi Through Education’ is an outreach initiative of VXI and My Dream in a Shoebox, in partnership with Football For Humanity, IBPAP, Team Asia and the Armed Forces of the Philippines. About 12,000 shoeboxes filled with school supplies will be donated to conflict-stricken children in Marawi City to equip them in time for the first opening of classes after the siege.
