MANILA, Philippines – A group of friends aced the Halloween costume game after recreating the South Korean blockbuster zombie film “Train to Busan” in Manila with their costumes.

The group posted photos on Twitter that went viral as they perfectly portrayed the characters in the one of the best-selling South Korean film in the country, from the lead characters to supporting characters and survivors.

They called their "Train to Busan" adaptation as “TrainTutuban” since their shoot was set at a Manila Light Rail Transit System station.

"We're a bunch of weird kids who found each other in college and still enjoy being weird together. Yea I guess that sounds like squad goals," Elise Mendoza who posted the Halloween costume adaptation, said.

The photos of the zombie film Manila version now have 23,000 retweets and 39,000 shares. It has also been circulating in other social media platforms such as Facebook.

The suspense-thriller "Train to Busan" was directed by Yeon Sang-Ho. It had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last May and won the awards from Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival and Spain’s Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival. — Rosette Adel
