ON THE RADAR IMAGINES ...

MANILA, Philippines - A shout-out is the word du jour as status messages become the simplest way to express oneself in the digital world. A simple thought, witty and concise, shares your imagination and passion with everyone, anywhere. Samsung, the leader in digital technology, created a ground-breaking youth campaign, which invited students from all over the metro to do just that, shout-out!

Imagination sparks passion. This core belief of Samsung speaks to the hearts and minds of the youth as the recently concluded Samsung I Imagine campaign allowed them to speak up and express their thoughts and feelings about Talk, Play and Love by posting a shout-out in the microsite www.samsungimagine.com. The Shout-Out making contest was a huge success with over 10,000 students from 700 universities in Metro Manila registering and posting their shout-outs, more than 60,000 page views and 22,000 plus unique visits on the I Imagine microsite, and over 34,000 users voting for their favorite shout-out.

Crossing over from digital technology to fashion, Samsung has collaborated with trendsetter brand, Folded and Hung to make the campaign more exciting and relevant. The winning shout-outs were printed in hip and trendy grey, black, and white hoodies by Folded and Hung, giving bragging rights to the uber creative winners Isabela Martinez with her shout-out “I Imagine and I will make it happen” for the Talk category, Guille Francisco with his shout-out “I Imagine the world united in one beat” for the Play Category and Phil Jacinth Dayupay with his shout-out “I Imagine world peace in 3, 2, 1” for the Love category. These shout-outs inspired the design and colors of the hoodies. Young, fresh, and hip, the jackets are designed with vectors, 2D, typo play, overlaps, and a burst of color.

Be inspired and inspire others by channeling these hoodies wherever you go. The hoodies are available in Folded and Hung stores in Mall of Asia, Robinson’s Place Galleria, Unimart, SM San Lazaro, Southmall, Market Market, Shangri-La Plaza, Robinson’s Place Ermita, SM Megamall, Trinoma, Glorietta 2, Eastwood Mall, SM North The Block, and Alabang Town Center.

Proceeds from the sales of the hoodies will be donated to Samsung Hope – Samsung’s corporate philanthropic initiative, which aims to bring communities together to help underprivileged kids.

Everything begins with imagination. With the Samsung I Imagine campaign, we are reminded that our imaginations can inspire us to do many beautiful things. Grab a hoodie now and proclaim just how passion meets imagination.
