Wilcon soars high to 45
Wilcon Depot, the Philippines’ leading home improvement and construction supplies retailer, commemorated its 45th anniversary with a wonderful celebration held at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila in Parañaque City.
Gracing the momentous occasion were the company’s top executives led by founder and chairman emeritus William Belo, president and CEO Lorraine Belo-Cincochan, director Mark Belo, SEVP-COO Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, and EVP-chief product officer Careen Belo.
The exclusive event also gathered the company’s valued suppliers, industry partners, stakeholders, VIPs from the business and diplomatic circles, and long-time employees. A series of exhibits about Wilcon and its milestones was mounted in the venue, while the evening’s highlights included the keynote speech of Rosemarie, the awarding ceremony for the company’s loyal employees led by William, and the ceremonial toast led by Lorraine.
Wilcon has indeed come a long way from its humble beginnings in 1977 with its first branch — a 60-square-meter store along Quezon Avenue — to its current lineup of 81 stores, with 18 in Metro Manila and 63 in key cities and municipalities all over the country.
The company continues to widen its physical presence in the Philippines with its #FlyingHighTo100 store expansion campaign, wherein it aims to have 100 operating stores nationwide by 2025, barring any unexpected external factors.
In addition, Wilcon strives to provide high-quality products and excellent services to its customers, as each newly launched store is committed to provide a better, more convenient home-shopping experience and be part of every Filipino’s journey to build, improve, and refine their homes for a more sustainable and comfortable life.
