A yearly reunion
For many years, a group of lovely alumnae from Assumption College (formerly known as Assumption Convent) make it a point to get together at least once a year to catch up on each other’s lives. Seen in the recent meet-up at the lobby of the Peninsula Manila are Rose Manlapit, Nitnit Tongco, Sonia Recto Lopez and Minerva Tanseco. It was a great day of touching base and recalling wonderful memories with one another.
Music of the night
The Catholic Women’s Club of the Philippines (CWC), whose thrust is serving God by serving people, will hold its 98th anniversary ball at the Makati Shangri-La, Manila on Aug. 29 at 6:30 pm. Under the leadership of its indefatigable president Nene Pe. Lim, the theme for this year’s ball is The Phantom of the Opera, inspired by the musical. The fundraising event is for the benefit of the various charities and advocacies that the CWC has been supporting for the past 98 years.
