A place of bliss

It was a party to end all parties as the posh Kandaya Resort in Cebu marked a remarkable first year of business.  Cocktails by the poolside jumpstarted the celebration, followed by the cutting of the Kandaya anniversary cake at the resort’s signature Kusina restaurant by resort owners Carlos and Mariquita Yeung.  The couple, by the way, was also celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary.  Kandaya’s general manager Fritz Sommerau popped some bubbly to toast the double celebration before everyone headed to the tent where a lavish dinner and pulsating entertainment awaited.  A show of African-inspired dances and the infectious music of the African band, Makumba, sent every guest to the dance floor.  The guests, both young and old, partied till dawn.

Congratulations to the Kandaya Resort team headed by Martin Yeung and event planner Tisha Cue for such a memorable evening bash.  Oh, what a night!
