Sonria sets new standards in condo living for modern homeowners
MANILA, Philippines - Today’s homeowners are smart investors who tend to take a look first into a development’s unique lifestyle proposition and its developer’s track record. For them, buying a home is more than just finding a residential property located in a prime location — it should also offer comfort and convenience for its would-be residents, thereby making it a truly wise investment proposition.
These types of homeowners will surely find such exacting standards fully met with Sonria, the first high-end residential development within the highly regarded Barangay Ayala Alabang and Madrigal Business Park. The property’s owner and developer, Stonebridge Corp., has collaborated with GeoEstate Development Corporation as its exclusive marketing agent and development manager to ensure that everything they have envisioned for the project will be fully met.
Singapore-based couple Charles and Leah Haynes, who bought a one-bedroom unit at the 12th floor of Sonria recently, shared their reasons for investing here. “The first time Charles visited Alabang, he readily fell in love with it,” Leah said. “The town is relaxed, is comfortable and feels much like many towns in the United States.” The couple had always wanted a laidback, uncongested place in Metro Manila where they can stay and relax whenever they’re coming back home from abroad.
Alabang is known for its casual atmosphere and intimate villages, where neighborhood family get-togethers are common and children grow up together to become lifelong friends. Sonria brings this traditional character of Alabang in a graciously re-imagined condominium setting, offering a low-density vertical community that had been designed to foster better camaraderie among its residents.
“The building (at Sonria) offers intimacy and gives a cozy feeling. We also like the fact that the condo has complete amenities like a pool, gym and lounge areas where residents can gather comfortably,” says Leah. The interior design of the lobby as well as the space planning for the units by well-known designer Tina Periquet are meant to evoke — a gracious and homey ambiance.
“Before buying a unit at Sonria, we researched first several developers and checked out their units,” says Charles. “The units at Sonria stood out because the facilities are complete and had been organized well without compromising spaciousness. I figured that this would make it easier for us to prepare for move-in even while we are still living abroad.”
While still working in Singapore, Charles and Leah are planning to make practical use of their investment by setting their unit up for lease or for rent. “Many corporations’ manufacturing facilities are located, or are planning to be relocated, from China to the Laguna area (in the Philippines),” observed Charles. “We believe that the quality, comfort and security of the property will appeal to foreign executives who want to move along where their companies’ operations are located.”
Progressive turnover of Sonria units will begin by December this year with building occupancy and operation starting a few months after. Due to their busy schedules, however, Charles and Leah only managed to book a flight back to the country by early 2016 to take the handover. They are nonetheless looking forward to dressing up their unit and are confident that it will be delivered to them in every way that was agreed upon.
