As a representative of the Cebuanos, I’d like to convey our collective admiration and gratitude to RCC founder Ambassador Bienvenido Tantoco Sr., RCC chairman Nedy Tantoco and RCC president Donnie Tantoco for choosing Cebu as the home of Rustan’s in the Visayas.

The Rustan’s grand opening was an enjoyable evening at the new wing of Ayala Center Cebu. It is wonderful to see them update the local branch to world class standards, fit for the Rustan’s prestigious brand name.  I was certainly impressed by the design and ambiance of the new store, filled with a complete array of globally-known labels.  I would rate it at par alongside the top retail establishments in Paris and New York.  I look forward to visiting Rustan’s again and again and again.

Rustan’s and I go a long way. In 1983, I bought my Christian Dior wedding shoes there. Expecting my first child in Davao, I would visit Rustan’s every time I was home to buy things. I’m sure I’m not the only Cebuano who shares and will continue to share a history with the store. I’m glad the new Rustan’s is even bigger than the one I had come to know. It’s both a testament to its faith in the Cebuanos and our people’s faith in the brand.
