‘Shop Global Help Local’ at the 48th International Bazaar
MANILA, Philippines - Christmas season is definitely in the air as one of the biggest holiday bazaars, the International Bazaar, will once again take place at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in CCP Complex, Pasay City. The fundraising event, now in its 48th year, is organized by the International Bazaar Foundation, Inc. (IBF) headed by chairperson Gretchen del Rosario and president Sylvia Farolan, Ladies of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Spouses of Heads of Missions (SHOM) and members of the diplomatic and consular corps and will be held on November 16 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the PICC Forums 1, 2 and 3. Around 35 embassies and six consulates will showcase the best of their local goods while over 100 booths will showcase Filipino products. As an additional treat, guests who purchase raffle tickets will have a chance to win exciting prizes. Proceeds of this one-day event will be given to the IBF and used for the organization’s various projects such as scholarship grants, financial support for the elderly, abused and abandoned children as well as those affected by calamities.
