The rewards of using Prestone

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Jessie Viloria, freelance car mechanic in Parañaque City, recently received a call for what he thought was just another home service repair job. He got the surprise of his life when he was informed that he had won a brand-new Mitsubishi Mirage GLX in the “Prestone Great Drive, Great Wheels” raffle promo he joined recently.

From tuning up engines and fixing radiators of clients’ cars, he now has a vehicle of his own to tend to. “Hindi ko akalain, hanggang pangarap lang ako magkaroon ng ganoon [I never expected it. Getting a brand new car was only a dream for me],” remarked the father of two when he and his family finally received the registered mail enabling him to claim the prize.

Viloria has been using Prestone products since he started working as a mechanic in 1988. His customers, who were plane pilots, preferred to fill their radiators with Prestone coolant.

“We held the promo to reward our loyal customers and to show our gratitude to them,” says marketing director Tisha de Veyra of the contest that was able to distribute over half a million raffle coupons nationwide.

Another lucky winner of a Yamaha Mio is Nueva Ecija farmer Artemio Hernandez. “Iyan ang matagal na naming ginagamit. Sabi ng mekaniko ko, mas magaling. Yung rubber cap, hindi masyadong naluluto (We have been using Prestone brake fluid for a long time. It was recommended by my mechanic. It does not damage the rubber cap of the brake fluid reservoir),” remarks Hernandez.

Jaime Ocampo, a purchaser in the local government of Asturias, Cebu, similarly notes “less maintenance cost and time on repairs.” He has been using Prestone in maintaining government vehicles for the past 15 years. “Other brands affect my working hours since we need to keep on changing rubber caps,” he says. He is now a proud owner of one of the top prizes of a Mitsubishi Mirage as well.

The third lucky winner of a Mitsubishi Mirage is Valeriano Olimba of Lipa, Batangas. Apple iPad 16GB units were also awarded to  Eduardo Alindahaw of Quezon City; Orlando Yulde of Santiago City, Isabela;  Joel Ngo of Bocaue, Bulacan; and Renato Rombawa of Sultan Kudarat.
