Ayala Malls highlights personal style with Allison Harvard and Tim Yap

MANILA, Philippines - Ayala Malls takes its Style Origin celebrations, the leading lifestyle center’s annual event that heralds the newest emerging trends in local and global fashion, up a notch with the unveiling of “Style Icons Allison Harvard and Tim Yap Dish on Fashion.” Turning the spotlight on America’s Next Top Model Cycle 12 and All Stars second-placer, and first-ever Style Origin Lookbook cover girl Allison Harvard, and the country’s premier partyphile, television talk show host, and Philippine STAR Supreme editor Tim Yap, the Ayala Malls aims to capture the most valuable essentials and experiences to better cultivate our style pursuits.     

Set in a live talk show, the program showcased a 30-minute casual conversation focusing on how to harness and empower personal style with the world’s rising fashion and grooming trends. Harvard, who is known for her doe-eyed gaze and her privileged-punk personal style, has been heralded as this generation’s Twiggy, matching the reigning modeling royalty of the ‘60s individualist fashions and timeless beauty, while Yap is well known in the metro’s party scene with his distinct tastes. Together, they represent style icons that would leave a mark in the young generation’s image-building consciousness.

Harvard, through Yap’s interview, went in great detail of her ANTM experiences while sharing essential tips and tricks in ruling the world’s modeling trade. She highlighted how personal style greatly empowers one’s own representation when coping with the largely individualist digital age, and how one can best adopt and adapt the season’s key trends in enhancing their own looks and lifestyles.

To better showcase the style icons’ message of individuality, Allison Harvard and Tim Yap lead four teens in matching their own distinct styles straight off the racks of Ayala Malls’ fashion-forward retail establishments. Proving that one need not change her fashion convictions to catch up with the current trends, Harvard and Yap will choose specialty clothes, accessories, and grooming looks to better complement these teens’ personal styles. This exciting experience highlighted the Style Icon event, as these teenagers and their empowered new looks were presented on a runway show to complete the event.
