Quantum launches basketball tourney
MANILA, Philippines -Quantum Amusement centers offer an accessible fix to the basketball craving young kids; groups of teenagers or barkadas; young-at-heart office workers and professionals seeking to unwind and de-stress. And it’s not just the guys — even ladies are crazy about the game, too. Street Basketball is so popular that all machines are usually occupied in Quantum, and players end up doing several rounds more.
“Quantum makes the sport accessible for everyone to play,†says marketing manager Kristine Gonzalez. Quantum is one of the largest amusement center operators in the country, with 67 branches all over the Philippines featuring the latest games and attractions from the United States, Japan, and China. Its sister companies—Q Power Station, Powerville Fun Rides, and Club Synergy— also provide more options for fun-filled games and exciting prizes.
It’s a game of skill, endurance, and sharp focus. No need to be a professional basketball player — in this game, all it takes to win is for a player to display accurate shooting percentage, and make as many shots as possible within a given period of time. While the machine stays put, at a certain stage, the hoop becomes a moving target to increase the difficulty level for the player.
Quantum has also raised the level of excitement a notch higher by organizing Street Basketball competitions across the country. Quantum’s Street Basketball Tournament is slated to kick off on May 10 in its amusement centers in Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu and General Santos, and in selected Metro Manila branches on May 17 and 18.
