Kids rule at Sundance Residences
WorldWide Central Properties Inc. (WCPI) recently unveiled Sundance Residences, its child-friendly residential development, in an evening of elegant flair at the Oakridge Pavilion hosted by Tessa Prieto Valdes.
Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama graced the occasion, which also marked the 37th anniversary of the proudly homegrown parent company, Worldwide Steel Group of Companies (WSGC). Founder and visionary Francisco Ong expressed his thanks to family and business partners for their unwavering support.
President and CEO of WCPI Kent Ong shared that over the years, WSGC has always been directed towards building and construction materials. Today, with the current economic trends and construction boom, their entry into real estate development has allowed them the opportunity to provide for all of their customer’s needs — from building blocks for homes to a luxurious lifestyle.
Sharon Ong, WCPI vice-president for sales and marketing, attended to guests’ queries as she emphasized on Sundance Residences’ child-friendly facilities and features, which elicited positive reaction from parents with young children. Guests were all thrilled to hear about the day care center offering a holistic approach to education outside the usual academic curriculum, ensuring fun and play while learning.
The development will feature a common entertainment section where residents can entertain their families and friends. Likewise, designated areas will accommodate commercial strips and select retail establishments. Other amenities include a jogging trail, fitness gym, swimming pools for kids and adults, and a serene meditation sky garden.
With kids’ safety as main priority, Sharon also imparted some vital details of the development such as anti-slip floorings, rounded furniture corners in common areas, 1.2-meter balcony railings, tot-sized sinks and urinals, covered electrical outlets, and anti-mosquito plants to ward off insects.
Among the guests were Lim Liu of Chong Hua Hospital, world-renowned Cebuano furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue, Mandaue Mayor Jonas Cortes, Mandaue Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede, businessmen Dennis and Bambi Gothong, Alfred Go, Edmund and Anne Liu, and prospective buyers.
The evening’s highlight was a raffle of a Yoda Easy Chair by the project’s interior design consultant Cobonpue who shared his thoughts on seamlessly integrating function and design for the country’s child-friendly residential development.
