Soroptimist Foundation celebrates 47th year

MANILA, Philippines - Soroptimist International Founder Manila (SIFM) holds the club’s  47th  anniversary, tomorrow, May 5, at the Canossa Spirituality House in Tagaytay City, with the theme, “The Soroptimist in the Year of Faith.” 

In the morning there will be a Mass and recollection with Fr. Roberto San Diego, OFMC, as celebrant. This will be followed by the anniversary luncheon program with welcome remarks by SIFM president Cora Manimbo, anniversary message by Gov. Minda A. Garcia of Soroptimist International Philippines Region (SIPR), special song and violin numbers by Abigael Cruz of Community Chest Foundation. Guest speaker is Gemma Cruz Araneta, executive assistant to the Mayor of Manila and chair, Manila Historical and Heritage Bureau. The final remarks will be delivered by Lyn P. Imperio, first vice president, SIFM.

A major activity this year is the SIPR mid-biennial conference on May 30 to June 3 in Bacolod City. The SIFM has also launched its  official publication, The Founder’s Vision.
