A record-breaking night at Glorietta

The Philippines made global fashion history when Glorietta broke the Guinness World Record for the “Most People Modeling on a Catwalk” with 2,255 models, celebrities, merchants, partners and community members, beating the previous record of Istanbul, Turkey, with 1,967 participants. Guinness World Records judge Kirsty Bennett presented a plaque to commemorate this record-breaking event to the Ayala Land team led by Ayala Corporation chairman emeritus Jaime Zobel de Ayala and Ayala Land president Tony Aquino with Ayala Land executive vice president and commercial business group head Bobby Dy, Ayala Land vice president and commercial business head of operations and support services Rowena Tomeldan, Kit Zobel and Viel Aquino-Dee. The much-awaited event was held on Nov. 29 at the newly opened Palm Drive in Glorietta.
The latest collections of more than 40 well-loved brands were featured in the biggest fashion show of the year, including local favorites such as Bench, Bayo, Plains & Prints, Gibi, The Ramp, Freeway, Maldita, and global fashion leaders such as A/X Exchange, Marks & Spencer, Cache Cache, Naturalizer, Florsheim, Mango, Melissa Shoes, Sperry Top-Sider and Skechers, among others.
American singer-songwriter and guitarist Kyle Patrick of The Click Five and Philippine Prince of Rock Bamboo performed their greatest hits as celebrities, personalities and musicians like Sam Milby, Xian Lim, Denise Laurel, Hayden Kho, Kris Lawrence, Andrew Wolfe, Jon Avila, Geneva Cruz, RJ Ledesma, Divine Lee, Victor Basa, Never the Strangers, Tanya Markova and General Luna walked down the runway.
