Have a safe Christmas with LED lights

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Overheated Christmas lights can cause fire.

Fortunately, because of technology, a new lighting system has been discovered that takes into consideration the environment, energy and safety. This is the LED (light emissions diode) lights. According to Denzel Lim of DSL GAM Enterprises, a local distributor of LED lighting systems, LED is called the “green light” because of its environment-friendly character. Lim said that LED lights do not release excessive heat and stay cool even if they are kept on for long periods of time. Since they are cool, energy consumption is very low having a power consumption of only 9.6 watts.

Lim said that their LED lights are sourced from Taiwan and have been tested and approved by the Bureau of Standards and conform to the standards for ICC clearance on imported products.

This Christmas season is seeing the proliferation of LED Christmas lights. These are visual delights in the main avenues of the Makati commercial and business district already in its holiday best with the huge silver star light lanterns glistening like giant star-shaped frosts. The SM malls are aglow with silver tivoli  lights hanging from the ceilings. Soon, the “mansions” of Policarpio, Mandaluyong City will be literally wrapped in colorful Christmas lights shaped into various designs depicting Christmas such as Santa Claus, candy canes, reindeers, Nativity scene among  many  Christmas depictions. Lim said that the  lights are the LED Christmas lights which give out a distinctive vivid and bright glow and are available in white, warm white, pink, green, red, and blue.

Lim said that their fast selling LED Christmas lights are the affordable 10 meter long strand with 100 multicolored Christmas light bulbs that can be wrapped around a Christmas tree, outdoor plants and trees or installed on windows and hung on fences.
