'Make It Makati' unveils website, app & magazine

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Modern urbanites wanting to experience the different surprises make Makati’s landscape vibrant and alive are just a few clicks and flips away from further discovering the dynamic hallmarks of the city.

Backed by the concerted efforts of the local government of Makati, Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI), and the Makati Commercial Estate Association, Inc. (MACEA), Makati recently unveiled its comprehensive website, MakeItMakati.com, which aims to highlight the city’s vibrant ideals as part of the “Make It Happen, Make it Makati” campaign. The website virtually allows users to explore Makati’s cityscape by expanding their channels of communication discovering the millions of possibilities in the city where they thrive. The website also features an exciting selection of dining, shopping, entertainment and leisure options, a lifestyle map, and a media gallery that showcases the different happenings all over the city.

To make things even more interesting, the Make It Makati mobile app is compatible with both iOS phones and Android phones, and is downloadable through MakeItMakati.com. Connected to the most popular location-based service Foursquare, the Make It Makati mobile app provides users a listing of places in the city where they can check in to share their experience with their social communities online.

Beyond showcasing Makati’s highly regarded lifestyle destinations, the Make It Makati online and mobile apps also feature the city’s six distinct nodes that were revealed earlier this year. These nodes include the new Ayala Center, acknowledged as the country’s cosmopolitan and lifestyle district; Ayala Triangle Gardens, known as the city’s urban gardens; the Makati Central Business District (MCBD), the country’s premier business and commercial capital; Makati North, envisioned to become the city’s hub for the young and vibrant; Makati South, which will rise as the tech and transport hub of the metropolis; and Sta. Ana, where Ayala Land’s newest mixed-use development— e yed to be Makati City’s premier entertainment district — will soon take shape.

Meanwhile, Ayala Land, in partnership with Hinge Publication, also presented the Makati Leads magazine, a quarterly glossy that features the many happenings in the city. The magazine, also available online, features contributions from several Makati-based movers, such as Erwann Heussaff (food indulgence and dining adventures), RJ Ledesma (Makati’s must-visit, must-experience nightlife), JV Rufino (the latest tech thingamajigs), Chris Tiu (fitness and wellness), and Glenn San Luis, executive director of Ateneo Continuing Education Institution.

The city’s Make It Happen campaign also puts into view Ayala Land Inc.’s (ALI) P60 billion investment into Makati over the next five years, which is eyed to ensure an abundance of living and lifestyle possibilities in the city.

Ayala Land is committed to continue working with key stakeholders, led by the local government of Makati City, to ensure the growth and development of Makati as it evolves beyond its borders into the country’s leading city for business, lifestyle, entertainment, and culture.
