Filinvest City gets bigger

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Growth, development, progress, evolution — these are keywords that make a city vibrant and exciting. For people to live and grow in a city, that city has to evolve and grow along with them to be able to adapt and provide for their ever-evolving needs.

The people behind Filinvest City are aware of this and it shows. What started out as an empty field, Filinvest Alabang, Inc. has propelled the city’s tremendous growth to a well-established Central Business District (CBD.) This business hub now houses some of the biggest and most visible companies in the country.

The next big phase of the evolution of Filinvest City is now underway, reaffirming its thrust as a breathing and living city where everyone can enjoy a multi-dimensional and cosmopolitan lifestyle with nature as a refreshing backdrop. With new and exciting developments being put in place, it is ensured that the evolution of Filinvest City moves constantly, redefining what it means to be a true Modern Metropolis, where life’s little pleasures and conveniences are within easy reach.

“Since its establishment, Filinvest City has provided countless opportunities to elevate the quality of life via its retail centers, office buildings, residential developments, and leisure areas,” says Filinvest Alabang, Inc. executive vice president Kate Ilagan. “And although Filinvest City has already transformed life in the south, it perpetually undergoes changes to meet, and even exceed, the demands of the times.”

“At Filinvest, our aim is to provide everyone the best live + work + play experience,” Ilagan continues.  “One way to achieve this is to make business and living much more exciting with shopping, dining, arts, culture, leisure and entertainment options — all in one city.” That is Filinvest City’s commitment to evolve into a modern lifestyle mecca.

One of the first steps towards this is the expansion of Festival Supermall, which will add more greens, outdoor promenades and more leasable space. This expansion will add 110,000 sqm gross floor area to its total expanse and 58,000 sqm. to its gross leasable area currently housing more than 700 retail establishments. This will re-affirm Festival Mall as the largest regional shopping center in the southern side of Metro Manila.

Alongside this expansion are more modern upscale architectural and interior designs and the addition of various mall amenities and features such as: The Festival Walk which will be connected to the transport hub South Station; the River Park where one can enjoy al fresco dining by the living creek, and the Water Garden which will house an amphitheater.

Very soon, Filinvest City will flourish into a city energized by the most happening events in the metro. For starters, the amphitheater in the new Festival Supermall will be built along the River Park, where one can enjoy live concerts outdoors and will be able to accommodate 1,000 people. Surrounded by patches of greens and water fountains, the Wedding and Events Pavilion in the Water Garden district provides a wonderful place to intimately celebrate one of life’s most important events.

In addition, South Station which is situated near the city’s entrance will have a live events venue within its in-house watering hole, The Grills. This will house a number of restobars offering a myriad of gastronomic delights of affordable grills and pica pica choices to compliment drinks. With live bands playing on a regular basis, here, one can unwind with colleagues after a long, stressful day.
