Life beyond the here and now
MANILA, Philippines - Parents sing “Happy Birthday” as a newborn enters the world, but we don’t have similar rituals when people exit.
On April 29, Master Del Pe, an internationally renowned speaker, life mentor to leaders around the world and a modern sage, shares the wisdom he has gained from 25 years of study about Life After Death and the Nature of Inner World. Born in the Philippines, he was educated by European missionaries and earned a degree in engineering. After a successful career in the Middle East, he embarked on a spiritual journey, climbed many sacred mountains in search of wisdom and studied with four enlightened sages in the Himalayas and Asia.
Those near death invariably confront the question of what will happen when they die. Where will they go? Will they be safe? Their loved ones also wonder if they will be able to sense their presence again. Not knowing causes fear and uncertainty for both the people who are dying and those who love them. Afterwards, worrying about what happened to their deceased loved ones can compound the grieving process.
Whether one is examining death, sleep or meditation, all involve experiences beyond the everyday realities of the here and now — the Outer World with its preoccupations revolving around career or family issues, one’s physical health, financial investments, relationships or pastimes. These out-of-body experiences take one to what Del Pe calls the Inner World.
Sleep
The same questions that apply to death are also relevant when it comes to where you go when you sleep. Your body remains in the bed, but what about your emotions and mental processes? Why is it that most people have little or no recollection of what happened after they fell asleep?
The answer to what causes nightmares can be of special interest to parents whose children sometimes wake up screaming in a fit of terror. In the most difficult situations, it’s hard to rouse the child out of the nightmare and back to mundane reality of the here and now. Del Pe provides insights and potential solutions for these sometimes troubling situations.
Meditation
“There are many levels of experience during meditation,” says Del Pe, who is the author of Hidden Dangers of Meditation and Yoga. As he describes it, at one end of the spectrum there is simply zoning out into a state of oblivion where nothing much happens, all the way to experiencing the bliss of universal oneness. During this workshop, he will outline practices that meditators and yoga practitioners can use to safely go out of body, as well as techniques that can maximize their experiences.
By understanding the Inner World and practicing techniques that enable people to access levels of consciousness beyond everyday thinking, participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to come to a deeper understanding of what happens at death; as well as how to maximize sleep and meditation time to acquire new insights and inspirations.
The Life After Death and the Nature of the Inner World workshop provides universal answers to these questions and puzzles of life. Reserve your slot for Sunday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the 32nd Floor of Jollibee Plaza, 10 F. Ortigas Ave., Pasig City. Workshop fee is P8,800 inclusive of workbook and meals.
