Miss Resorts World crowned
MANILA, Philippines - An air of glamour and beauty filled the Newport Performing Arts Theater last Aug. 27 as the coronation night of Miss Resorts World Manila was held. The event was hosted by Sarah Meier and Rovilson Fernandez.
Succeeding the Miss Resorts World Manila 2010, Wendy Tabusalla, is Princess Angela Abella. Abella also won the Miss Viva Talent and Darling of the Press titles, receiving P1 million worth of prizes.
A 23-year-old Cebuana, she considers Miss Resorts World Manila as her first serious endeavor in the world of beauty pageants.
Ladylyn Riva, a 23-year-old half-Filipino, was named Best in Swimsuit and won the first runner-up titles receiving P300,000 worth of prizes. Kriza Charisse Argana, second runner-up winner, was awarded P200,000 worth of prizes.
Pamela Sue Nieva won the Miss Photogenic, Liezl Verses was the Best in Long Gown while Angela Luz Abuallata was Miss Talent.
World Traveller, a Primer Group-owned luggage brand supported Miss Resorts World Manila. Each of the candidates received a California Orange World Traveller luggage, which they used on a pre-pageant trip to Singapore. The Best in Long Gown winner was given special World Traveller tote bags in hot pink and purple stripes. World Traveller’s top of the line purple London luggage was given to the crowned Miss Resorts World Manila 2011.
