The inspiring art of religion

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -

Sharing his appreciation for religious his- tory, gracious host Ambassador Phillip Lhuillier recently invited Cofradia members headed by founder, well-known philanthropist Meldy Cojuangco to visit his beautiful museum in Ayala, Alabang. Guests were in awe as they toured the place and saw the remarkable pieces that the ambassador personally and meticulously put together for several years. This included the captivating ivory collection that showcases the different expressions of Jesus Christ on the Cross, the magnificent 16th century religious paintings of the holy family, and the glorious life-size polychrome statues of saints displayed at the mezzanine, among others.

Congratulations to Sin Nombre Club for eight excellent decades of service to the people!

A new direction for IWCM

Monaco Consul General Fortune Ledesma, who did such an excellent job as president of the Inner Wheel Club of Manila (IWCM), an affiliate of the Inner Wheel Clubs, International, passed on the challenging job to her successor Minerva Tanseco, the new IWCM president, during their recent meeting. Minerva, being the immediate past president of the Friends for the Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP), will indeed be a very able president of IWCM as she sets a brighter perspective for the club and its members.
