The country's tallest building rises in Makati
MANILA, Philippines - Century Properties marked its 25th anniversary with the topping out ceremony for The Gramercy Residences, currently the tallest building in the country.
The ceremony celebrated the completion of the building’s topmost floor, which stands more than 70 storeys. With concreting works already complete, the construction team is now finishing the installation of electrical and sanitary pipelines for all the floors. Exterior painting works for the Gramercy’s east elevation is currently underway, as well as interior paintings and the installation of balcony railings for all units.
“We are proud to commemorate this milestone as we celebrate our 25th year in the real estate industry,” says John Victor R. Antonio, chief operating officer, Century Properties. “This occasion is a testament of our commitment of delivering our projects on schedule and in the best quality to our clients. Together with the future residents of Gramercy we eagerly anticipate the project’s completion and turnover in the year 2012.”
Antonio led top officials and special guests of Century Properties to the event, which was also graced by company chairman Jose E.B. Antonio, managing directors Marco and Robbie R. Antonio, executive vice president for planning Carlo R. Antonio, directors Rafael G. Yaptinchay, and Ricardo P. Cuerva, Chut Cuerva, and architect Roland Rodas of Century Project Management and Construction Corp., head of vertical projects Raul Alvarez, and Century Properties independent director Washington Z. Launched in 2007, The Gramercy Residences enjoyed brisk sales from local and international buyers who aspired for a modern and upscale lifestyle in the country’s foremost financial capital, Makati City. Unit owners also look forward to the building’s unique features: three floors of hyper-amenities called The Skypark located halfway up the building and offering spectacular skyline views; as well as the fully-furnished, fully-serviced units with six optional interior design options.
The Gramercy Residences is the first residential tower rising at Century City, the 3.4-hectare mixed-use development of Century Properties that will comprise luxury residential towers including Knightsbridge and Milano, a lifestyle/retail center, and an IT park that will feature the $100-million outpatient medical-IT building called Centuria Medical Makati.
