The language of flowers at SM Homeworld

-

MANILA, Philippines - The language of flowers is also the language of love. And this Valentine’s Day, people can surprise their loved ones with a bouquet of fresh flowers from SM Homeworld. They can also have their bouquets arranged in their vase of choice from the store. These beautiful blooms from Natural Art will be available until Feb. 15 at the Homeworld Department of SM Makati, SM Megamall, and SM Mall of Asia.

Since ancient times, flowers have had a special symbolism. In the Bible, the loved one in the Song of Solomon calls herself a “Rose of Sharon” and the “Lily of the Valley”; authors and poets likewise use flowers in their writing. The language of flowers became especially significant during the Victorian Era when lovers, limited by the conservative mood of the time, could only express their feelings through the flowers they gave each other.

Love mix: Loved ones will be swept away by this bouquet of spring flowers — gerbera daisies talk about beauty, innocence, and loyal love; while carnations symbolize bonds of affection and fascination.
