JDV's big day
Fresh from his triumphs in the international scene, peace advocate and former House of Representatives Speaker Joe de Venecia recently celebrated his birthday with a big thank you dinner at the plush De Venecia manor in South Forbes Park, Makati for his dearest family, friends and colleagues. Hosted by his lovely wife Gina, the gathering was well-attended by more than 200 guests composed of political leaders, diplomats and celebrities including former Philippine president Joseph Estrada, House of Representatives Speaker Sonny Belmonte, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas former Governor Gabby Singson, San Miguel Corporation president Ramon Ang, Banco de Oro chairman, SM Investments Corporation vice chairman and SM Retail president Tessie Sy Coson, construction magnate FF Cruz and fashion icon Josie Natori who all wished Joe De Venecia all the best in his endeavors, especially his peace-keeping initiatives to help make the world a better place to live in.

Robbie Delgado, charming wine diva Tita Trillo, Claudine Trillo and Rosanne Sugay The charming wine diva Tita Trillo recently celebrated another fabulous year with a fun birthday bash held at the elegant Titania Wine Bar Café in Makati. With the theme, “Eat, dance, sing and sip to your heart’s content,” the party had guests savoring premium wines personally selected by the celebrator which included a 2007 Robert Pepi Pinot Grigio, a 2006 Chateau Latour Camblanes, and the star of the evening, a “Supertuscan” 2004 Sasso Al Poggio (“Stone on the Hill”) Toscana. These were perfectly paired with an exquisite array of Tita’s favorite dishes masterfully prepared by Titania’s executive chef, Rene Arambulo. The perfect blend of world class wines, excellent food, great music, and most importantly, the company and love of family and friends truly made the occasion a very memorable one! Everyone went home with smiles on their faces as they enjoyed the fun-filled celebration replete with awesome prizes and giveaways. Cheers to Minerva for another successful party!
