Citibank Binondo marks 14 years
MANILA, Philippines - Binondo, Manila will always hold a special place in Citibank’s history in the Philippines.
More than 100 years ago, then known as International Banking Corporation, Citi opened its first branch in the country along Calle Rosario in Binondo, and welcomed its very first Filipino clients.
Since then, Citibank has grown from strength to strength and can now be found in key locations around the country.
Recently, Citibank celebrated another milestone in Manila — the 14th anniversary of its Binondo branch in its current location in San Fernando corner Plaza del Conde st.
The country’s largest foreign bank marked the momentous occasion with a special brunch for its loyal customers.
The exclusive event was graced by Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, Councilor Bernie Ang, and top Citi executives. On hand to welcome guests were Binondo branch executives, headed by branch manager Lynnette Tan.
Citi country officer Sanjiv Vohra thanked loyal Citi clients for their loyal support through the years.

Citibank Binondo clients came with their families, which clearly showcased the solid, long-standing partnership built by the bank and its clients through generations.
Taking time to recognize its long-time clients, Citi presented them with dining gift certificates at Hyatt Hotel. Children also took part in the festivities. Lucky guests received Peking duck gift certificates at Dragongate Seafood Restaurant during a raffle draw.
