MANILA, Philippines - Panasonic Viera Plasma TVs offer high picture quality via a high moving picture resolution, superb color expression, and high contrast.

For a clearer image when it comes to moving pictures, the Viera Plasma TV has a 1,080 line resolution, which is already a marked improvement over standard TV sets. A higher line resolution means that fast-moving images, particularly in sports programs, come out clearer.

The Viera also employs a 600Hz sub-field drive, which means that more frames are generated per second to match the movement of an onscreen image. Standard TVs only have a refresh rate of 50 frames per second. The Viera’s 600Hz sub-field drive means that images refresh at a rate of 600 frames per second.

All Viera Plasma TVs offer a 2,000,000:1 High Contrast assuring infinite black reproduction with superb contrast. In dark scenes, you can make out the detail of images as if in real life. It is also capable of 6,144 steps of gradation, so that scenes of rich color, such as sunsets, are vividly reproduced with tiny details rendered in their natural tones.

Plasma TVs can be viewed from a wide number of angles. You can see clearly the images in a Viera Plasma TV even if you are seeing it from the side of the screen. Viera Plasma TVs are equipped with V-Audio Technologies to offer a number of suitable surround sound settings to match the high picture quality.

Viera Plasma TVs will run for more than 30 years, even if used for eight hours daily. A newly designed phosphor process and rear panel process give the Plasma panel a lifetime of up to 100,000 hours.

All Viera Plasma TVs are free from lead and mercury, reducing their impact on the environment when recycling or disposing them in the future. Panasonic has been successful in restructuring the compounds used in a Plasma TV to make it safe on the environment.

Consumers can also expect a more efficient use of electricity with Viera Plasma TVs. They come with an ECO Mode that adjusts screen brightness depending on the ambient lighting environment to reduce power consumption. The Stand-by Power Save feature automatically switches off all equipment that is interconnected to the Plasma TV once it is turned off, while the Intelligent Auto Stand-by feature powers down all equipment connected to it that are not being used.

As a safety feature, all Viera Plasma TVs have a tough front glass panel. This is an assurance against breakage in case something accidentally hits it or if small children are playing near it. The front panel also has a protective coating that make it easy to clean with a soft cloth.

And yes, Viera Plasma TVs are gentle on the eyes compared with the steady display of LCD and standard TVs. Viera Plasma TVs automatically adjust screen brightness by analyzing the brightness in a room for a more comfortable viewing experience.

All Panasonic Viera TVs are equipped with Viera Link, which is a universal control that links together all remotes for your viewing pleasure. All auxiliary devices just need to be connected to the Viera Plasma TV by an HDMI cable, and you can operate them with just the Viera Link remote control unit.

All Viera Plasma TVs are also equipped with an SD memory card slot on a side panel, making it suitable as an image viewer. You can easily view images and video you have made with your digital camera.
