'Real Living' launches makeover book
MANILA, Philippines - Renovating your home can seem like a huge undertaking, but not when you decide to take it one room at a time. Best known for the free home makeovers they give to lucky readers, Real Living compiles its best projects in its fifth book called Room by Room Makeovers.
Editor in chief Rachelle Medina says, “An ideal renovation is usually done per area or room in the house. This way, the burdens of cost and time are not as heavy as compared to a complete home renovation done in one go.”
In partnership with Robinsons Handyman, Room by Room Makeovers was recently launched last Oct. 23 at Handyman in Robinsons Ermita. Real Living managing editor Tisha Alvarez-Angluben gave a talk on how not to win a makeover, while designer Hannah Faustino-Acab discussed instant makeovers and shared spaces.
Real Living’s first-ever makeover book is filled with wonderful design ideas and features hundreds of inspiring before-and-after photos. Be your own home’s designer as Room by Room Makeovers gives you 101 tips on space planning, organizing, color schemes, and more. Practical how-to’s and DIY projects also show you how you can transform your home even if you’re short on time and money.
Available at bookstores, newsstands, and convenience stores for P120 per copy.
Real Living is also holding a contest for a free makeover to a home affected by typhoon Ondoy. Homes in Marikina, Cainta and Antipolo areas are eligible.
