The height of Zen living
MANILA, Philippines - The Grand Midori Makati recently hosted a cocktail party at the Lexus state-of-the-art showroom at Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Alfred Ty, chairman of Lexus Manila and president of Federal Land, the leading real estate developer of The Grand Midori Makati, enjoined guests to “celebrate the height of Zen living” — relaxed, peaceful, and balanced.
Federal Land Inc., the property development arm of the Metrobank Group, together with Orix Corp., a Japan-based multinational company and leader in condominium and high-rise development, came together to bring a totally new experience in condo-living.
The partnership blends the ingenuity of Japanese technology and discipline with Filipino artistry and Federal Land’s 37 years of experience in the industry.
The Grand Midori Makati sets the new world-class standard in condo living— from the Filipino-Japanese synergy that translates to reliable building construction, to the careful and meticulous detail design, premium finishes, and well-balanced amenities.
Located along Legazpi St., Legaspi Village, Makati, The Grand Midori Makati is strategically positioned within the heart of the Makati central business district. It’s just a five-minute walk to Ayala Ave., as well as Greenbelt and Glorietta. It is also conveniently located near banks (Metrobank), hospitals (Makati Medical Center), schools (AIM, La Salle, and Ateneo graduate schools), and hotels.
The 38-story twin towers feature an elegant porte cochere usually seen in first-class developments, where residents and visitors can be picked up and dropped off from the driveway leading to the building’s grand lobby.
Designed by world-class Filipino architectural firm W.V. Coscolluela Associates, the units in The Grand Midori Makati are bigger. With its clean and efficient blueprint and spacious configuration, residents will have the freedom to suit the interior design according to their personal taste and style.
All 369 units, with an average of 12 units per floor, feature premium finishes. The larger units are equipped with sleek bathtubs and lavatory, among other features. All the units (one-, two-, three-bedroom units as well as studio units) feature picture windows and balconies.
In terms of security, the property boasts a dual CCTV system located in the common areas and all the residential floors, in addition to the 24/7 roving guards.
The Grand Midori Makati is designed to provide residents with Zen-inspired amenities such as koi ponds and Zen gardens.
“Midori in Japanese means green,” Ty explains. “Consistent with this concept, part of the plan is to have a pocket garden at every floor.”
Natural lighting and ventilation are also part of the plan for long-term cost efficiency. The eco-friendly common areas as well as the grand lobby were conceptualized by top Japanese design firm Tange Associates.
Other amenities include a 20-meter lap pool, children’s wading pool and playground, fitness center, jogging paths, and a multi-purpose hall.
Launched in the last quarter of 2008, 50 percent of the units have already been sold. With its groundbreaking in mid-August 2009, The Grand Midori Makati is right on schedule with completion expected in 2012.
“Backed by Federal Land’s track record as a developer, we are committed to deliver,” Ty adds.
