A new species of Television is born!

-

MANILA, Philippines – A change is upon us — one that has given birth to a new species, a new breed of high sophistication, unparalleled advancements, and ultimate perfection. It is our imagination metamorphosed into reality. Samsung has always been redefining and revolutionizing the way we watch television and now, they have brought to us a new species of television – the Samsung LED Full High Definition TVs.

With the use of white Light Emitting Diodes (LED) as its primary light source instead of the direct RGB or traditional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL), the Samsung LED Full HD TVs B7000 and B6000 series achieve ultra-high contrast ratios, slimmer depths, and increased energy savings. The new mega dynamic contrast ratio can achieve contrast levels like never before. It is capable of creating pure blacks that appear endlessly deep to the eye and pristine white tones that result in richer and vibrant images. Watch action-packed movies and breathtaking sports games in almost real-time. Enjoy the thrilling experience with Samsung’s acclaimed 120HZ Auto Motion Plus frame interpolation technology which produce the smoothest, sharpest images even when they are moving at the highest speeds.

Design always matters. With the latest in LED technology, Samsung LED TVs offer an ultra-thin breadth of only 1.2 inches – that’s thinner than your camera and almost as thin as your mobile phone. Aside from being extremely slim, it is also very light. Samsung complemented this sleek and svelte design with a wall-mount solution which reduces the gap between the TV and the wall to around 0.6 inches, down from the two inches of bulkier solutions. It is a masterpiece that you can just hang on the wall like any other piece of art.

As if this is not awe-inspiring enough, Samsung has developed a unique liquid crystal design that uses dual-injection molding to coat a translucent, colored surface to achieve an attractive crystalline appearance. It begins as a very deep black and then softly transitions to transparent frame. The bezel illuminates a warm hue that changes under different lighting conditions. Instead of using spray paint that releases volatile compounds into the atmosphere during manufacturing, Samsung used the environment-friendly dual injection molded exterior for a truly ethereal effect.

Who wouldn’t love a TV that cares for the environment just like you do? The Samsung B7000 and B6000 LED Full HD TVs all meet the stringent Energy Star v3.0 guidelines by cutting power consumption to significantly new lows. Energy-efficient light emitting diodes reduce energy consumption by more than 43 percent, unlike traditional LCD HDTVs of similar size. The greenest Samsung TV ever, Samsung LED TVs are also mercury-free and include optimized energy savings mode that adjust the backlight and picture quality while still producing smoother and more natural images.

Tech-savvy consumers know that entertainment is no longer the only consideration. Getting information and entertainment in just one click is pure genius. Samsung LED TVs redefine television watching with Medi@2.0 encompassing a Content Library (Flash), USB 2.0 Movie, and Digital Living Networking Alliance (DLNA) Wireless capabilities. The Content Library (Flash) lets you enjoy a variety of cultural experiences, from art galleries, to cooking recipes, and even yoga. With USB 2.0 Movie, you can view your photos, watch your home-made videos, and even listen to your favorite tunes from your USB. With DLNA Wireless, you can simply pair your Samsung LED TV with your PC so you can enjoy PC-based music, video, and pictures. And since it is wireless, you can stream content to even more TVs and enjoy multi-room viewing. It is a multi-media experience taken to a whole new level of convenience and satisfaction.

According to Displaybank, LED TVs will make up eight percent of the total market by 2011. With this opportunity, the Samsung LED TVs are posed to drive the global TV market leader towards its target of selling 26 million flatscreens in 2009 and solidify its current position as the number one brand in the world and Philippine global TV market. Samsung Electronics Philippines Corp. CEO and president Spencer Shim shares, “Many question our strategy to launch a premium product, the LED TV, in the middle of an economic recession. Through extensive market research, we have positioned the pricing of LED TV where consumers will find it acceptable. We feel that this is our opportunity to concentrate on target customers for LED TV and establish LED TV as a new TV category, thereby reinforcing our technological leadership and expanding the premium image of Samsung brand.”

With cutting-edge display technologies, exquisite design, multi-functional and environment-friendly features, this new species of television is sure to grab your fancy!
