Artists run set for tomorrow
MANILA, Philippines – The Artists’ Welfare Project Inc. (AWPI) is inviting everyone to run — or not — tomorrow, May 17, 4 to 6 p.m. at the La Salle Green Hills track oval (Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills, San Juan).
The AWPI Fun Run & Walk for Life is being held together with La Salle Green Hills to show solidarity with and support for artists and the community, to create awareness in the general public of AWPI’s mission to grant welfare benefits to all artists.
The run is open to all artists and cultural workers, families and friends, and anyone who wants to run for the arts. There are two categories for runners: runners who will be sponsored by any number of benefactors, and self-sponsored runners who simply pay the registration fee of P200 to join the fun/walk for life. Registration may be done online on the AWPI website (www.artistswelfare.com) or onsite at La Salle on the day of the run. There will be performances, booths with unique items for sale, food and other goodies, plus participating scelebrities.
