Bellevue’s guilty pleasures

The hard rain didn’t stop anyone from trooping to the only hotel with five-star amenities south of the Metro as the Bellevue Hotel recently held a fashion show in their magnificent 20/20 Bar entitled “Guilty Pleasures,” an exhibition on women’s luxurious indulgence. Showcasing the creations of Puey Quiñones and exquisite lingerie pieces from Hot Pink, the bold and daring fashion show provided all the heat needed to fuel the night.

The ever-gracious visionaries behind Bellevue, general manager Patrick Chan and marketing and communications director Ryan Chan organized the joyous affair, which was gamely hosted by the beautiful Bianca Valerio. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with the ambience and atmosphere of the bar, which was transformed by event stylist Henry Pascual, as well as the sumptuous canapés, free-flowing spirits and Hennessy cognac that circulated through the night. Gracing the event were Hoseki’s Zabeth Co and Knoi Esmane, Carlo and Kaye Garcia of Hot Pink and Moet Hennessy’s Randy Uson. Johnny’s Wine of the Week

This week, your columnist recommends Wyndham Estate’s Bin 888 Cabernet Merlot from Australia.  This splendid wine has mid to deep crimson with vibrant hues.
